Just 24 hours under the grow light and you can already see how quickly these seedlings develop.
On the left are courgettes (Cucurbita pepo) — already pushing out those familiar broad seed leaves and starting to look strong and sturdy.
On the right are Crystal Lemon cucumbers — a bit smaller and slower to get going, but still coming along nicely.
🌿 Early observations
- Courgettes are clearly the more vigorous at this stage
- The grow light makes a big difference — no stretching, nice compact growth
- Even within the same tray, you can see variation between seedlings
💡 Grow it yourself
This is exactly why it’s worth getting seedlings under lights early — especially for things like cucurbits that can quickly become leggy on a windowsill.
Once they’re up, it’s straight under the light and they respond almost immediately.
